This past week John and Gwen spent a couple nights with us.  They were on their way to Las Cruces, NM, to speak.  Great to see them.

In about 3 weeks, Rachael and Michael Weller will be here.  They are speaking in Farmington, NM, and will at least spend one night with us and talk at the local UP church.  It will be a fun time to visit with them. I have seen them only once (I think) since Rachael graduated from Good Shepherd School, Ethiopia, in  1977.

Winter the last half of December through January was heavy here.  We had maybe 150% of normal snow.  The luminaries I put out in  December before Christmas, I was able to pick them up for storage today since they have been buried under snow.

As far as big events, I spent several days, end of January and first part of February, in Kenya with Global Dental Relief (Ann didn’t go). In five days, our team of 13 (6 dentists) saw 647 grade school kids.  We were at Kikuyu Hospital, Kikuyu town.  The nearby Presbyterian Church is a sister church of Beaver UP Church (or maybe another church in the Beaver area). Also,  American Dentists go to Africa to shoot lions (remember Cecil the Lion).  I shot several lions, but none as handsome as Cecil…see attached photo.

Say “Hi” to those that know me.
