Sybil and Ike: 1978 |
Sybil Lorena Henson Brooks passed away in peace on Wednesday evening, August 18,
2004. Mike and I and our families treasure our memories of our parent's lives. They
were intertwined. Many of you knew her in Alexandria, Egypt where she taught art
and listened to students. Others knew her in faraway places, such as Indonesia,
the Congo, and Switzerland. Her mind was always open, just as her door was always
open
Look at the trees, smell the roses, see the mountains, explore the caves,
paddle a kayak, camp the world over, see the peoples, paint on canvas, guide our
children; our mother has done more than most, and with Ike she was fulfilled. She
leaves good friends behind and joins good friends who have gone before her.
